Our partner the Parco Arte Vivente (PAV), in Torino (IT), hosts the Apiaria workshop on the life of bees with Andrea Bajardi and Giuseppe Camerini, on Sunday May the 30th.
Apiaria is a participatory and collaborative project that aims to create the dynamics and tools for understanding and sharing the life of bees. These essential insects play a central role in the reproduction of vegetation. Furthermore, the analysis of their honey allows us to bio-monitor the pollution levels present in our urban environments.
For this workshop, visitors are invited to attend and witness a beautiful bee dance, shot in the hives located on La Folie du PAV, an installation by artist Emmanuel Louisgrand. This artwork stimulates all our senses through an interactive monitor that emphasizes the images and sounds of the bees’ flight.
In addition, interventions by Andrea Bajardi (naturalist) and Giuseppe Camerini (biologist) will provide an in-depth study of the scientific field of bio-indicator and pollinating insects.
Free participation, included in the entrance ticket
